International Epee Cup

The MK Fencing Academy International Epee Cup is the most prominent annual event in UAE dedicated to the noble Olympic sport of fencing. It takes place every year, attracting over 200 fencers from more than 40 nations around the world. It is held under the patronage of the Dubai Sports Council, UAE Fencing Federation, and MK Fencing Academy.

Day 2: 26 November 2023 – U13 Boys and Girls & Seniors and Veterans (50+) Men and Women Epee – 8:00am until 6:00pm

Junior (U20), Senior and Veterans: FIE Equipment: FIE 1600 N Mask. Other equipment FIE 800 N: jacket, fencing pants, under plastron. Fencing socks that cover the knees (any colour except black) and FIE epee. For all female fencer’s plastic chest protection is required

U11, U13 & U15 Boys and Girls: 350 N: mask, jacket, underplastron, fencing pants. Fencing socks that cover the knees (any colour except black) . U11 an epee size 2, U13 and U15 an epee size 5. For all female fencer’s plastic chest protection is required

Participation: All countries, clubs, affiliates and individuals from all over the world are welcomed to participate

Age groups:

The event will be conducted according to the following ages:

Under 15 years old male and female (epee)
Juniors Under 20 years old male and female (epee)
Open Men & Women (epee)

Rules: Latest FIE version of the rules will be followed at this event

Individual competitions: In the first round the poul groups will be formed according to the numbers of participants in each category.
All shall be conducted according to the FIE rules, in case of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the latest FIE version shall prevail.
The Organisers will, however, reserve the right to decide, without right of appeal, on any issues not covered by the FIE Rules or by these Rules.

Participation entry fees:

Open Men and Women & Junior (U20) Categories: 210AED or 50 Euro (T-shirt will be provided to all fencers)
U15 Boys and Girls: 110 AED or 25 Euro
(T-shirt will be provided to all fencers)

The exclusive event has been founded and led by MK Fencing Academy in partnership with Dubai Sports Council and UAE Fencing Federation and with the support of Gargash Enterprises as well as Austrian Business Center, TEKA, Osteopathic Health Center Dubai, Super Sports Academy and PBT Fencing.

From vision to reality, the 5th MK Fencing Academy International Epee Cup 2016 has proved that dreams do come true!

What started 5 years ago, as a small competition with big spirit, today has become the UAE leading sporting event of the year for all fencing fans!

Top fencers from around the world, amongst which Rio Olympic Champion Snagyoung Park and the Olympic silver medalist Ana Maria Popescu, showed their invincible skills and mastership of the sword in the international tournament, which took place on 16^th and 17^th of December in Dubai.

The exclusive event has been founded and lead by MK Fencing Academy in partnership with Dubai Sports Council and UAE Fencing Federation and with the support of Gargash Enterprises as well as Sport360; Innoventures Education; Global Products; Freeplay and PBT Fencing.

Two days of spectacular fencing battles amongst more than 153 fencers representing over 37 nationalities culminated in the Grand Final and created unforgettable memories for both the spectators and the fencers!
